How long will my hybrid smartwatch battery last?

    Fossil, could you provide more information about usage and what actions are the biggest drains on the battery. My watch has never lasted five months on a single battery, and I'm a bit disappointed and don't want to be so wasteful as to replace the battery every month or two. What causes the battery to run out faster or last longer? Does the battery last longer if a Bluetooth connection is maintained with your phone, or does the watch continually search for a connection (and wear out the battery) if your phone is not near it or has Bluetooth turned off? Does using the watch to send a command to your phone use more battery power than displaying an alert received from the phone? Thank you in advance for any further information!

    In case this feedback is useful to Fossil it other customers: I really wish the watch were rechargeable. I loved it at first, but after a couple of years and a couple dozen batteries, I regret buying this model (the Fossil Q Grant hybrid smart watch). It looks great, though, and now I just want to unsync it with my phone and use it as a regular watch but the battery still dies in a matter of weeks. Any suggestions?

    The issue mentioned by Chris is exactly what I'm facing with my Q hybrid. I've tried using it at a bare minimum even then it just lasted for 3 months. It'll be really helpful if Fossil could suggest a rechargeable battery

    I have purchased Fossil Q Nate watch on 25th Dec 2018 and since purchase I have replaced 6 batteries. Maximum period watch was working for 15 days.

    I am not happy after purchasing such a watch. I am feeling I got cheated.

    I am not getting service center details for Pune Maharashtra India location

    Pl help me out to make this watch usable.

    I have a Hybrid Jacqueline FTW5014 I purchased and received in late October. The battery has died less than 2.5 months later. This is an issue. Please help.

    Would be nice if you could post some solutions instead of replying to people individually. I came here looking for help as my watch battery barely lasts 3 weeks and the closest Fossil Store is the next town over.

    Hi, I have the same problem with my Hybrid smart watch Q Accomplice. The battery dies every couple of months and never lasts the 4 to 6 months that it is supposed to.

    Also when I purchased this watch, I was told that I would have a life time battery replacement for free. I had no issues with this at first, however the last time I went to get it replaced the sales person told me that they only replace it in the 1st year for free and after that I would have to pay $11 each time. The free battery replacement was a selling point and I would not have purchased this watch otherwise. It is disappointing that they decide to change this and not even let people know. 

    Can Fossil give a rechargeable battery option or a reasonable alternative? This watch is just annoying to use now.

    Hi all, I agree with all these problems. I'm lucky to get a month (maybe) out of the watch battery. I wondered if I'd bought defective batteries, but it sounds like I am not alone.

    Hi all, 

    Thank you for your comments. 

    The battery (full), when used with our hybrid smartwatches, will last up to 6 months or 12 months (depending on the model) under ideal conditions. However, with normal use and daily syncing, it is normal for the battery to last around 3 to 4 months.

    We would suggest you change the battery or get in touch with us when any weird symptom arises. When you replace that watch's battery, we would recommend ones made by Panasonic, Energizer or Renata for the best performance and battery lifespan.

    Hi, my Q Nate bought in June 19 has gone through 2 battery changes. The last battery change didn't last 3 months. Even the jeweller was surprised to see me so often. My watch goes through light usage, say once a week. Is there a possibility that it constantly searches for bluetooth connectivity when my phone is away, leading to the battery drain?
