I'VE PLACED THE SMARTWATCH ONTO THE CHARGER. WHY DO I NOT SEE THE CHARGING INDICATOR ON THE DISPLAY?

    I FIXED MINE.

    I was in the same boat as you all.  But, my watch is now reset and has a charge all the way up to 60% so far(its only been about an hour).

    Here is what I did:

    1. Left watch OFF charger for a day.

    2. Put watch on charger and charge for 15 minutes.

    3. While watch still on charger, hold watch steady and hold in side button until you feel a long vibrate.  About 15 seconds.

    4. Still on the charger, the watch rebooted and let me into settings.  I right away went into settings and factory reset.

    5. Still on charger, the watch went thru its reset process.

    6. I just left the watch on charger for another 30 minutes(Your time could be shorter?)

    7. Went up and took watch off charger, pressed screen and it was ready to setup with my phone.  It was also showing a battery level.  so, it was charging finally.

    8. Paired and set up to phone.  its now charging and appears fine, I keep checking.

    Are you able to charge your watch battery 100% now ?
    Mine is 65% maximum.

    Hi, yes, no issues charging to 100%. Took off charger just this morning before work. It was 100% and now 9 hours later it's at 80%.

    I have been experiencing the same problem.. and have tried all these things. I would take it to a fossil store but the closest one to me is 2 hours away.

    Hey my brother bought this watch for me from canada (fossil gen4 having the same charging issue i am in sri lanka it doesn't charge last time it charged it was 45% an then i rested my after watching this comments an then it charged an then again same thing

    I am having similar issues. Got the watch a couple weeks ago noticed the watch wasnt always charging. i did notice putting a bit of pressure helped but now my watch is dead and the charging display wont appear.

    I received by Gen 5 Carlyle Stainless Steel watch today, and it just doesn't charge beyond 57-60% regardless of how long you keep it to charge! It's been on charging for close to 2 hrs now and it's been at 57% (now at 56%) ever since. I've tried switching the watch off and on, reset factory settings. Nothing seems to work. Even though the charging indicator comes up on the watch, the Wear OS app says "not charging". This seems to be a fairly common problem, going by this thread and several reddit posts. Why is this not fixed yet? 

    Can I please get a resolution asap? I've thought long and hard about which smartwatch to buy and went with Fossil. HUGELY disappointed with this now!

    My watch was charging without an issue up until a day ago. Now it will only charge if I place a weighted object on top of the watch while it sits on the charger. Any suggestions?

    Hi! I have the same issue as CJ, my watch is a Gen 4. I've been trying to charge it but it keeps doing the same, even when it seems to be charging (as the lightning bolt appears) the battery keeps going down while the watch is sitting on the charger. I'm afraid it will ruin my watch as it keeps going on and off, and through the same process over and over.

    I am having alot of the same issues, as well. My watch connects to the charger - charger lights up, the charging indicator comes onto the watch screen briefly, but I cannot get watch to turn on. I've attempted to follow several instructions to try to possibly reset, but I can't even get my watch to turn on to do that.

    Hello,

    My gen4 shows the charging symbol but when i try to start it it just shows fossil logo and then charging icon again but it does not start at all.

    Please any help would be appreciated.

    My Carlyle died yesterday as well. Not coming back to life.. Looks like a manufacturing problem with this new GEN. also left off charge overnight and the next day was able to start charging again. Can't understand what happened

    This is an absolutely ridiculous problem. Why in the hell are you selling people a product that can't even perform a necessary function, such as charging???

    My watch is 2 days out of the box and refuses to charge. I've tried everything. The goddamn thing didn't even include a plug to connect to the worthless charging cable. No wonder every person on Earth doesn't recommend buying these crappy smartwatches.

    Any solutions yet? My watch of two moths had charging issues past couple days. I factory reset and did the 3 button trick but now no charging at all on either charging device.

I had a battery charging issue with my Diesel Full Guard 2.5, I just visited he fossil service center they said it is a known issue and replaced my watch with Diesel Gen5 DARK GREY Axial Smartwatch - Gunmetal-Tone Stain.!! With no extra cost and 2 years warranty. So please visit the near fossil service center.

    Has anyone had a solution to this please?
    I was gifted a Fossil DW2a watch which now appears to be dead and won't charge at all. I've tried the solutions mentioned on this forum to no avail. Thanks for your time!

    Received my new Gen5 watch today, unboxed it. Put on charging. It is almost 2 hours and the watch is not turning on. You have sent me a brick dead watch. !!.
